BEST WAY TO REACH AND TRAVEL BHUTAN

Paro is usually the entry and exit point to Bhutan and flights operate from Kathmandu, Gaya, Bagdogra (Siliguri), Kolkata, Dhaka, Guwahati, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangkok, Singapore. Bhutan can also be reached overland from India, but it is a long drive from the border to the main places of interest.

Reaching via Air

Druk Air, the National Air Carrier of Bhutan, operates regular flights to / from, Paro to Delhi (India), Kolkatta (India), Gaya (India), Kathmandu (Nepal), Bangkok (Thailand) Singapore and Dhaka (Bangladesh). Not too many airlines are available if you want to travel Paro from India, then Drukair is the only airline available.

Reaching by Surface

Entry / Exit to Bhutan through Phuentsholing in the south, Gelephu in the central region and Samdrup Jongkhar in the east, that link with the Indian state of Assam.

Reaching by Tourist Buses

Tourists can travel in Bhutan with medium-sized buses (20-22 seats), small buses (04-06 seats) or hired cars. Road widths do not permit larger buses.
